If a square containing a mine is revealed, the player loses the game. Otherwise, a digit is revealed in the square, indicating the number of adjacent squares that contain mines. I found a windows version on Amazon for about $60, but I wasn't willing to pay that much just to see if I could make it work on a Windows 10 operating system for my 4-year-old. You're welcome to buy it yourself, though.
